David Krudwig is in his sixth year at RepMO but twentieth-third teaching (other 18 at Parkview High School in Springfield).
Mr. Krudwig earned his Master's Degree in Directing in 2014 from the prestigious Chicago College of the Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, Chicago Illinois. He is a 2000 graduate of Missouri State University's Theatre and Dance Department and a proud five-year veteran of Missouri State University's summer professional Tent Theatre, where he worked as actor, master carpenter and assistant technical director; Most recently performed in "Anything Goes" as Elijah J. Whitney in the summer of 2023.
Since Mr. Krudwig's arrival in 2018 The Tiger Theatre has earned District Championships in the MSHSAA One-Act Play performance in 2020 and 2023, and Runner-up in 2022. Also in 2022 "Legally Blonde: The Musical" was selected to perform at the Mo. Thespian Conference at the Stifel Theatre in St. Louis, Mo.
While at PHS he had a show selected to perform at the prestigious International Thespian Festival (2004) earned four MSHSAA District Championships, four Runner-ups and a 3rd place finish at the State Finals. Some of Mr. Krudwig's students have gone on to study at such universities as Roosevelt University in Chicago, North Carolina School for the Arts in Winston-Salem, Webster Univesity St. Louis, MO, Evansville University, IN, University of California at Irvine, and NYU.
Mr. Krudwig moonlights as an actor in local TV, radio, and independent films. Mr. Krudwig and his wife Brandy have three daughters, Liberty, Lillian & Genevieve. Mr Krudwig is excited to continue this journey and program at The Tiger Theatre at Republic High School.
