Literacy Supports

At Republic Schools, we understand the pivotal role that strong reading habits play in shaping a child's academic success and lifelong learning journey. Research consistently shows that dedicating just 20 minutes each day to reading significantly enriches vocabulary, contributing to improved language skills and cognitive development. We believe in the crucial role that family involvement plays in shaping student success. Please click the icons below to access valuable resources that will help families support their students at home.

Math Supports

Republic School District focuses on building strong “mathematicians” at EVERY AGE! Check out the video and the list below for ideas on how to help your student(s) grow in their math journey!

  • Practice “mental math” in the car by asking questions like “If we’re driving 60 mph, how long will it take us to get to our destination?”

  • Have math discussions about everyday life.

    • A great example is estimating totals, calculating discounts or comparing prices while at the grocery store.

    • While baking you can work with fractions by measuring or adjusting recipes.

    • Talk about family budgeting or bill paying.

  • Play family math games! Card and dice games are great for math fluency.
