Board Policy C-140-P specifically addresses how the public can participate at a board meeting. Often times public comments to the board relate to specific students or staff members. According to Missouri statute, comments about students or personnel cannot be made in an open session. As such, the board encourages patrons to resolve issues by directly communicating with teachers, administrators, and/or other staff. If resolution is still not possible, Board Policy C-140-P defines the process and procedures the board will follow to consider an item for placement on the board meeting agenda.
