Terry McConnell has lived in the Republic community for over 42 years. He has been married to his beautiful wife Vanessa for 18 years. They have two boys, Tanner, Freshman, and Trent, 7th grade, who have attended Republic Schools since preschool. Mr. McConnell graduated from Republic High School in 1999. He attended Ozarks Technical Community College for a bit and had a strong desire to work a trade. Mr. McConnell chose to work three jobs right after high school and has not stopped working multi-trade businesses since. He is heavily invested in the Republic community. Outside of serving on the Republic School District Board of Education, Mr. McConnell is a member of Republic Kiwanis Club, Republic Chamber of Commerce, Republic High School Future Farmers of America Alumni and Destiny Church. In addition, he has been involved in the Republic School District's Key Communicators group, Price Elementary Building School Parent Advisory Team, and Republic School District’s CSIP team for over 10 years. He has also served as the President for Price Elementary's PTO.

Mr. and Mrs. McConnell own and operate several businesses in Republic: Central Gas Propane, Livin’ The Dream Cattle Co, Beauty + Wellness Co, RepMO Corner, and most recently Arabella Day Spa, which has been rebranded to Wellness Day Spa. They have an incredible crew that have become family in these locally owned and operated businesses and count their blessings daily. Each and every day, credit is given to God and the community as to why all things are possible. They heavily desire to give back to the community and others.

When asked why he wanted to serve as a school board member, Mr. McConnell responded, “This is my opportunity to give back and serve the community to ensure the voice of the teachers and students are heard.”
