Mr. Travis Edwards has lived in the Republic community for 13 years. He is married to Melissa and they have 4 children: Kiley (7th grade), Jennifer (6th grade), Bentley (2nd grade) and Brett (Kindergarten).  

Mr. Edwards graduated from Marionville High School in 1993. He received an undergraduate degree in Religious Studies and a minor in communications from Southwest Baptist University in 1997. He then received a Master's Degree in Pastoral Ministry with an emphasis in Conflict Management from Trinity Theological Seminary in 2006. Mr. Edwards currently serves as Pastor of North Nixa Baptist Church in Nixa, Missouri. 

Community Service:

• Previously served as President of the Board of Directors of the Republic Pregnancy Resource Center.

• Currently a member of the Lyon PTO, Lyon Parent Advisory Team, and Key Communicators.

• Was also member of the Republic School District's CSIP team. 

When asked why he enjoys participating on the Republic School Board he indicated, "I love the Republic community and wanted to find a way that I could give back to it. I believe public education is important and felt like serving on the School Board would be a great way for me to give back to the community that our family loves and cares deeply about."
