We are excited for our first ever “Student-Led Conference Night” on Tuesday, October 15th! The event will take place at Republic Middle School from 3:30 to 7:00 pm. As we aim to provide more engagement opportunities for our students and their families, this year's parent-teacher conferences will be structured differently than in years past. This year, ALL RMS families are invited to attend a 15-minute conference and hear their STUDENTS lead the conversation about their learning and leadership skills. Advisory teachers will be present in each conference to assist as needed or to make note of any follow-up tasks that may arise. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their growth through the 1st quarter, as well as provide updates to the goals they have set for the school year.
On Friday, October 4th, each student's advisory teacher will be sending out information to families on how to sign up for a 15-minute conference time.
We look forward to this exciting night of connecting families to their students’ progress at RMS. In addition to conferences, school and community organizations will also be present at the event. Snacks will be provided, along with various raffle items. We hope to see you there!
