Republic Middle School's "Sixth Grade Singers" and their director, Mrs. Tricia Zinecker, have been selected to perform at the 86th Annual Missouri Music Educators Association Conference and inservice! The choir was selected from more than 100 blind audition submissions to perform as one of two middle school choirs representing Missouri at the conference. This is Republic School District's third invitation to perform at MMEA.  This is one of the highest honors a musical ensemble and its director can receive! The concert will be held on January 26, 12:00 p.m.,  at Tan-Tar-A Resort at Margaritaville, Lake of the Ozarks.

The "Sixth Grade Singers" also perform annually at Drury University and Springfield Cardinals athletic events, Boys Choir of Springfield Contest, Republic School District's celebration of the arts, "One Fine Night," and seasonal community festivals and concerts. Dr. Matthew Pearce, Superintendent of Schools, will be introducing the choir and their director, Mrs. Tricia Zinecker, at the MMEA conference on. Mrs. Zinecker and her student leaders are proud to share and embody the Republic Schools District's vision of "dedication to education, without limitation empowering learners to create their own success!"

Mrs. Zinecker is in her 20th year of serving Republic students. She teaches visual art and choir at Republic Middle School, where she directs the "Sixth Grade Singers," appearing at MMEA in 2015 and 2024.

There will be a pre-MMEA concert on Thursday, January 11, 6:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Dr. Pearce will be introducing the choir and guest violinist, Andy Johnston, guest Guitarist and arranger, Dr. Blake Richter, and featured soloists will appear at the concert.
