Black and white photo, orange words: "BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBERS INDUCTED"

At its meeting on April 8, the Board of Education held a special reconfiguration meeting to induct the recently elected members and to reorganize.

As previously shared, the Republic School District sought candidates for school board and only two individuals signed up for the two open seats. Therefore, under the provisions of Missouri Statute Section 115.124, the district had a non-election. The two candidates, Todd Wojciechowski and Lauren Layman, were sworn in and will serve 3-year terms.

At the meeting, the following officers were elected by the board as well:

  • President: Denny Lawson

  • Vice President: Todd Wojciechowski

  • Treasurer: Terry McConnell

  • MSBA Delegate: Lauren Layman

  • MSBA Delegate Alternate: Terry McConnell

  • TASK Committee Members: Robin Davidson and Terry McConnell

  • CLASS Committee Members: John Parker and Lauren Layman

  • Facility Committee Members: Travis Edwards, Denny Lawson and Todd Wojciechowski

These details and others can be found on BoardDocs.

The next regular Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Education Meeting Room at Central Office (636 N. Main).
